In a world where efficiency and sustainability are increasingly important, Combi SION plays a crucial role in the construction of underground infrastructure. This partnership between network operators and contractors strives to lay cables and pipelines in a single operation. This reduces costs, minimizes inconvenience to local residents and carefully manages the available space in the ground.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Combi SION works with contractors and clients (or network operators) such as Liander, Vitens, KPN and VodafoneZiggo. They ensure that utilities such as electricity, gas, water and media are installed in one go wherever possible. This is done on the basis of a central coordination process that prevents inefficiencies and delays.<\/p>\n

Coordinating Role<\/h3>\n

One of Combi SION's main tasks is coordination. Whereas individual parties such as Liander or Vitens focus on their specific networks, Combi SION has the overview of all projects within their working area. This enables them to identify and prevent potential conflicts early on. \"We see all applications,\" explains an employee, \"and can thus identify risks and take management measures to prevent problems.\"<\/p>\n

Risks range from obtaining permits on time to preventing accidents at hazardous locations such as railroads. Thanks to Combi SION's coordinating role, roads do not have to be opened multiple times for individual works. This limits inconvenience to the surrounding area and allows projects to be carried out more efficiently.<\/p>\n

Combined approach<\/h3>\n

One of their greatest contributions is the prevention of \"soil duplication\" - opening the same ground unnecessarily many times for different utilities. Instead, all necessary cables and pipes are laid at once. This not only minimizes the impact on the environment, but also reduces inconvenience to residents.<\/p>\n

Another unique contribution of Combi SION is their involvement in work preparation. \"We prepare combined soil reports and handle permits for multiple parties at the same time,\" said one employee. This is a service that other combis do not usually offer, which sets Combi SION apart.<\/p>\n

From start to completion<\/h3>\n

The trajectory of a project - from the planning phase to final delivery - takes an average of twenty weeks. During this period, Combi SION coordinates the entire process. From applying for soil surveys and permits to monitoring plan data. Each party involved works toward the same start date. \"If we know a project will start in week 40, we start applying for permits well in advance,\" explains one employee.<\/p>\n
