buyer

Your position will be as follows

As a buyer, you are the connecting link between engineering, execution and suppliers. You work at industrial locations such as refineries, tank terminals or gas processing plants. In an environment where quality, safety and delivery reliability are key, you ensure that the right materials and services are available on time and as agreed.

In the morning, you start by reviewing procurement planning and pending requisitions. You coordinate with project managers, work planners and suppliers to set priorities and secure delivery times. You prepare requests, evaluate offers on quality, price and delivery terms, and negotiate the best deal for the project.
Throughout the day, you are actively involved in various phases of the project. You monitor delivery times, switch quickly in case of delays, monitor the procurement budget and think proactively about alternatives if bottlenecks arise. You work closely with technical specialists and act as a sparring partner for the execution.

No two days are the same: one day you are negotiating long-term framework contracts, the next you are solving a rush delivery under time pressure. Whatever happens, you keep the overview, switch sharply and ensure a grip on the chain.

So in short:

  • You are responsible for the entire procurement process of technical materials and services;
  • You monitor quality, price, delivery reliability and the procurement budget;
  • You will work closely with project teams, suppliers and on-site execution.
