Your position will be as follows

With a cup of coffee and your tablet, you check the schedule for today. From home, you step into your company van, well-stocked with materials and tools. The first job of the day? A fault in a medium voltage cable at a business park in Leiden.
You arrive on site and discuss safety instructions with the shift supervisor and an apprentice mechanic. Then you get to work: tracing cables, measuring, repairing and switching safely. You make sure everything is done according to BEI standards.
You drive on to a new housing estate where you lay the low-voltage network. With an eye for detail and safety, you lay cables, connect connections and test whether everything works. In the afternoon you take an apprentice under your wing. You explain how a transformer station works, why safety is paramount and how to prevent faults. The last job of the day is a cable that has been hit during excavation work. You safely disconnect the grid, make repairs and test that everything is working again. Fast, safe and competent: exactly as it should be.

So you are working on:

• Construction, maintenance of low and medium voltage network;
• troubleshooting;
• works on transformer substations and public lighting;
• Supervising electricians in training.

• Salary between EUR 3000 and EUR 4700 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience;

Here's what we expect from you

What we expect from you is enthusiasm for the job. For this position we are looking for someone with technical insight, a proactive attitude and the drive to build smart solutions together. You are someone who takes responsibility, enjoys working independently but also gets energy from working together on beautiful projects.

For this position, you will bring:

• An education in electrical engineering, preferably in the direction of low and medium voltage;
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience;
• At least one of the following BEI certificates;
• BEI VP LS + switching competent;
• BEI AVP LS + switch authorization;
• BEI AVP LS + MS switching authorized;
• driver's license B.
